Way up north, in the permafrost, 1300 kilometers beyond the Arctic Circle, is the world's largest secure seed storage, opened by the Norwegian Government in February 2008. From all across the globe, crates of seeds are sent here for safe and secure long-term storage in cold and dry rock vaults.<br />

The vault hold the seeds of many tens of thousands of varieties of essential food crops such as beans, wheat and rice. In total, the vault now holds seeds of more than 4000 plant species. These seed samples are duplicates of seed sample stores in national, regional and international gene banks.<br />
<br />
Permafrost and thick rock ensure that the seed samples will remain frozen even without power. The Vault is the ultimate insurance policy for the world’s food supply, offering options for future generations to overcome the challenges of climate change and population growth. It will secure, for centuries, millions of seeds representing every important crop variety available in the world today. It is the final back up.<br />

Well not everybody can own a company, or spend millions to create a brand identity for themselves. Here enters Facebook, a place where everybody can have a unique identity and advertise it. A person builds up his own personal brand by the way he uses the medium, the thoughts he put up, by sharing his likes or on the basis of what he finds funny, important or educational The look back video is in many ways a brilliant thought which employs the idea of people wanting to brand themselves. So the problem with Facebook creating a video for everybody was that it made personal branding too generic, because everybody had one and it was mostly compiled with stuff that Facebook thought was important to people based on the number of likes and shares. This led to the thought of development of an upgraded version of the video where users could <a href="http://mashable.com/2014/02/06/facebook-edit-look-back-video/" target="_blank"><span style="color: #cc0000;">edit</span></a> them to tell people what they personally think is important to them and not what Facebook decides it to be. <br /><br /> Whether it be a marketing stunt or a true celebration of the success of Facebook, the idea of spreading the joy with millions of people using Facebook is a great one. A fool proof method of identifying fraudulent activity in the marketing scenario does not exist as such. All we could do is probe deeper into what might seemingly have loose ends tying up a story. Although we would prefer to stay clear of direct accusations, we would like to pose a few questions which at least some of you would want to ponder on.<br />

Let’s look at the facts here BofA in association with the band U2 would willingly let people download the song ‘Invisible’ , their latest single, from their website on specified dates. This would come as a great source of joy to U2 fans, which we realize are a dying breed, and minds that are not corrupted by piracy. Given the fact that it was Bono himself who proposed the idea of creating a campaign as such for the bank, it comes into question who the real beneficiary of the campaign is. <br />

Now let us explain why we think that way. BofA was, according to Bono, wasting money on unnecessary ads for the Superbowl, and something of a more CSR oriented approach was what they really needed. We do understand and share this point of view but this is where he lost us, the charity organization that BofA was to support was in fact one co-founded by Bono himself. Besides the fact that the bank had already donated a sum of 10 million USD to the charity, they were to donate 1$ every time the song was downloaded. Even the fact that Red, the charity for raising awareness against AIDS was owned by Bono could have been overlooked if U2 was indeed doing good in the music industry. It’s not news that U2 havn’t had a hit album in sometime now and they were desperate for a boost. <br />

With the many words synonymous to charity and love strongly etched upon human hearts - do we take a moment to think if the money we so gladly donated goes to the right person? Does there exists an independent structure monitoring the flow of money? Even if there exists one, are they effective in their functioning?<br />

The true beneficiary of the campaign would still remain unknown to us. Would BofA be successful in their marketing endeavors? Would Red generate enough to support its cause? It seems these questions are better left to time, but it has been kind enough to provide us with knowledge that there is one group reaping all the benefits from the campaign and they are, you guessed it, U2. Be it the considerable millions donated to their charity or the single that is being marketed at BofA’s expense, it seems the only group who would get guaranteed returns is the band itself.</div>

So there you have it, a formula for success. Now all you have to do is introduce your product as the best thing to beat this imaginary torment. So in a nutshell if you can successfully create a problem you can sell the solution much easier.<br />

Hilton hotels came up with a solution to beat the blues this year by creating an artificial beach for its customers, to lay back and enjoy themselves. It had artificial sunlight to moderate the weather, models to increase your motivation level and everything else you would need to take the pressure off of you on the most depressing day of the year.<br />

It’s almost impossible to figure out if advertising evolved to human thoughts or if human beings evolved to effective advertising. Nevertheless, we do have some really effective advertising going on now. While it used to be all about creating a colourful fantasy land and filling it with stereotypical characters who are all happy for some unknown reason (maybe the euphoric state of owning consumer goods like washing powder and toothpaste). While the basic consumer goods mainly targeted “homemakers” in their advertising, they’ve also, unintentionally, helped in solidifying an idea that has been cemented onto human minds for centuries, that women should be confined to their households taking care of their families and nothing else. Although the idea was to portray a loving mother and a devoted wife, the idea somewhat carried within it a subliminal message that promoted the stereotype. The individuality and the idiosyncrasy of women were lost on primitive ideas. Or was it that advertisers were just following a path set by the society? One would never know.<br />

This trend of advertisers following a pattern which conforms to social norms are now changing with women stepping into the scenario. Them being vocal and independent has started to set a new trend of portraying them as strong independent members of the society. But let’s not just say it’s all part of women empowerment, it is of course a marketing strategy that has been proven effective for the time being by being successful at breaking the threshold of social boundaries that people were skeptical about to begin with. Or is it because advertisers finally caught up to the idea that the modern woman needs much more convincing than a fantasy land with promises of happiness?<br />

to uncover the real intentions behind this new trend in gender specific
marketing. When it comes down right to it, it is a basic need for
marketers to sell their products and advertisers essentially helps in

Accessibility, functionality and fashion are the three words that defines the direction that wearable technology is seemingly oriented towards, and they've been able to come up with some neat stuff too. Glasses whether they be augmented or virtual reality, do have a strong presence in the category of wearable technology. We were truly impressed with both the Google Glass and the Oculus Rift. When we break down the technology we can see that one essentially changes the world around us and the other takes us into another world and that is pretty impressive. There is such a thing as taking something too far, this is exactly what the mood sweaters did with their colour changing clothing innovation. Apparently these sweaters have L.E.D lights attached to them that lights up in colours that corresponds to the mood of the person wearing it. As whimsical as it may sound, we predict that it is not going to be a big success in the market, simply because of the fact that most of the time the mood we project is not our actual mood. Oreo's real time marketing stunt during the
Superbowl received much attention owing to its timing, selection of target

The panda algorithm was first launched on February 2011 and the most recent update to it (update no. 24) came out on February 2013. Because of the ever increasing low quality websites on the internet, having depressing content and meaning, google developed the update to give its users better precision and value for the search results generated. In a general sense google decided to reward those hardworking individuals or groups who actually work at maintaining a good website with updated content and better value. Any sites that may have generally lower content ratio and more ads are disregarded and the SERP remains loyal to the few.
