An endeavor to honor our Teachers

" TEACHING IS THE PROFESSION THAT TEACHES ALL OTHER PROFESSION "

“The good teacher makes the poor student good and the good student superior ”. Truly, is there anything more noble and virtuous better than this act ?? I humbly bow down my head and like to say, " Thank u so much Ma'am for making me what I'm today".

Now I can realize the role of a teacher and the pain they have undergone to make us what we are today. The Power of education cant be beat by any other means. I proudly behold that power which you bestowed me.

Nothing can substitute for a good teacher. All major accomplishments begin with a teacher. Anyone able to read this text will remember a teacher who was a role model, who helped them become who they are.( I very well recollects my best teacher, her classes, her actions, interactions, caring and much more - no more words to describe her than simply sighing and say that I STILL MISS HER AND HER CLASSES SO MUCH.). I bet you will also have your best teachers name and face in your mind right now.

To teach is to touch lives forever and to imbue people with the spirit of learning, to inspire and kindle the spark of knowledge. Some teachers really leave a long lasting mark on the hearts of students with their knowledge, wisdom and meaningful insights. Teachers play a significant role in our growing years. They put unconditional efforts to show us right path and groom us to become a better citizen as well as better person. Thus, Teachers Day is a day to pay tribute to all our teachers and mentors who have major contribution in our lives.

Most of what we accomplish in life is because of our teachers; some who we encounter in their formal role in school and at college, and others we encounter informally such as our parents, relatives and mentors.

Teachers are given the great responsibility of molding children into responsible citizens. They play a large part in shaping society since these children go on to become the foundation of the nation, the gears that keep the wheels of the country turning. They not only provide a quality education, but equip the youth with skills vital for survival as they mature into adults. Their role cannot be emphasized enough, therefore it is important that every once in a while, we say thank you and recognize their contribution to our lives.

September 5th is Teachers’ Day in India, the day we celebrate teachers across the country and thank them for what they do each day. It is also the birthday of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, former president of India, a firm believer in education, and most of all, a teacher. When he became the President of India in 1962, he said that "instead of celebrating my birthday separately, it would be my proud privilege if September 5 were observed as Teachers' Day". From then on, the day has been observed as Teachers' Day in India.

Teachers do love being told that they are making a difference. So if you are a student, a parent of a student, or a friend of a teacher, make sure you do something to celebrate Teacher’s Day.  A small comment, thank you note, or other sign of appreciation goes a long way.

Don't miss this day to greet and thank  your teachers and let them know how important they are to us and our lives.I humbly bow down my head and like to say, " Thank u so much Ma'am for making me what I'm today".
